Currently, the word death in our city is made up of services and perceptions of death centered on the elderly. However, death is not limited to age. There are many different kinds of death. Among them, I thought the most difficult thing was the sudden death of an acquaintance including a family member. We need something to be prepared for such a sudden death that everyone can experience. Looking at the table of frequency of thinking about death by age provided by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, not only the elderly but also people in their 20s and 40s answered that they were thinking about death. In addition, at a time when the funeral culture for companion animals is also spreading, the meaning of well-dying can be extended to all age groups and companion animals, which was limited to a specific generation such as the elderly. We thought everyone needed a chance to think about positive aspects of death. Well-dying service helps reduce the gap in the perception of death among age groups and helps anyone preparing for well-dying.
