Everyone should be given equal opportunity. We focused on the need for food and daily necessities support so that undernourished children can stand on an equal starting line as a member of society. I personally visited the Children and Youth Division of Seocho-gu Office and a store with a good influence in Seocho-gu and conducted a wire interview. Through brainstorming, flexible teamwork, and numerous suggestions and feedbacks, we created three personas for underprivileged children, store owners, and companions, and conceived a service design and social movement of compassion that could form relationships among three groups.
‘Nadong’ is a name that combines Narae (pure Korean for wings) companion, and visualizes the hearts of those who want to give wings to the lives of undernourished children who are marginalized from the inconvenience of indifferent society and systems.
We devised a way to provide emotional support to undernourished children by encouraging the voluntary participation of citizens who want to share warmth through outdoor advertisements and printed materials.
Meanwhile, the UX/UI reorganization of the 'Seoul City Dream Tree Card' application was reorganized, and a function was added to check the location and detailed information of the sharing point, including the existing function balance inquiry, and to interact with the sharing store owner.
As another core service, we designed a daily necessities kit to add differentiation to the existing service. It provides categories of toiletries, emergency supplies, sanitary products, and stationery, and a child who is undernourished can organize the necessary items every month. Applications and status can be checked in the application, and a leaflet was also produced in consideration of children who have difficulty using mobile devices.
