Nangok was once the largest shantytown in Seoul. Due to the urban development project that started in 2003, high-rise apartments are now lined up in various parts of the area, but in reality, only 8.8% of those who lived in Nangok settled again. The regional characteristics of Nangok disappeared under the name of development, and the problems of undeveloped areas remained unimproved, leading to decline over time. The gradually aging housing environment, insufficient culture and problems of convenient facilities have become the main causes of the young generation living in Nangok turning away from Nangok and the cut off of those who come to Nangok.
